THE CHALLENGE
The client contacted the Ambiente team about a residential construction project involving a charming home in Whetstone, London. The new-build property is three storeys tall and underfloor heating was supplied and installed on every floor. Due to the versatility of our residential underfloor heating systems, we can supply options for all different types of floors throughout new builds and existing properties.
The new building needed underfloor heating that worked with the rest of the property’s features and design, without raising the floor level too much or being hindered by the floor covering.
THE SOLUTION
Our team supplied AmbiClip and AmbiLowboard EPS underfloor heating systems to the project contractor for the home. As always, we have a wide selection of resources available through our team and website to support installers working with UFH. We supplied full layout plans for the underfloor heating so installers could get the best results without issue.
The AmbiClip is one of the most common residential underfloor heating systems we supply. It provides a quick, flexible and effective form of heating within a screeded floor build-up. This underfloor heating system will offer comfortable, consistent heating throughout different zones to control the temperature of the home as required. AmbiClip UFH was installed on the ground floor in almost every room, including the living room, kitchen, toilet and hallway.
We also supplied our low-profile AmbiLowboard EPS underfloor heating system. It’s the perfect UFH system where floor build-up height is at a premium and can be used in suspended floor applications. This system was used on the second and third storey of the home in all four bedrooms, the study and bathrooms.
NeoStat thermostats were installed throughout the property to give the homeowners complete control over the whole underfloor heating system. NeoStats are slim and stylish and come in three stunning colours. They blend in seamlessly to any property and are only a little bigger than a light switch.
