Warming up for 2019

As 2018 comes to a close, it is a great time to reflect on and celebrate what we have achieved during the year.

Case Studies

During 2018 we supplied our quality UFH systems into hundreds of projects including residential, commercial and healthcare. We have loaded 16 of these as case studies on our website – see below some of our favourites;

Brook’s, Bridge Street, Pinner – The premises of an old bank was in need of rejuvenation since becoming derelict. It was identified by the current owners as being the perfect haven for book lovers and the wider community, and so Brook’s was born, an independent bookshop where you can choose to stay, read a book and drink some wine or coffee.

Underfloor heating was the natural choice for this environment, being long acknowledged as the most comfortable heating method with no drafts or cold spots. The AmbiLowboard SRB underfloor heating system was installed and the PRT/E Digital underfloor heating control system was selected as the thermostat.

Nicholas Way – We were proud to supply underfloor heating throughout this beautiful new-build property in the prestigious residential location of Nicholas Way in Northwood. Over 3500m of our 17mm UFH pipework was installed on this project, using our AmbiTak UFH system.

Hertfordshire. Residential refurbishment – We supplied underfloor heating throughout a luxury residence in a sought-after area of Hertfordshire. Our AmbiSolo underfloor heating system was installed on the first floor and the Ambiente Neo control system was selected as the UFH control.

Newberries Avenue, Radlett – Underfloor heating perfectly complemented the luxurious and modern design of this property, allowing the interior designer complete freedom of layout. Our AmbiTak UFH system was installed along with the Neo control system thermostat.

Appearing in Trade Magazines

If you picked up a copy of the September HPM Magazine, you may have seen our article on page 70 covering the use of acoustic layers! Our AmbiSolo system is set to feature in both HPM and Installer magazine in the last editions of the year.

Partnership with Knauf

We partnered up with Knauf in 2018, offering competitive rates on the Knauf flooring range. Knauf is the manufacturer of a cement-based range of boards, which is the perfect solution for installing over ‘floating’ UFH systems. Get in touch with us to receive special rates!

During 2018 we will have sold over 2.5 million metres of underfloor heating pipe. Long enough to stretch from London to Rome!

What else did we get up to in 2018?

We reached our 12th birthday in November – how things have changed in that time! As a celebration, we took the afternoon off to participate in some fun team activities and recognise the hard work of staff to reach such a fantastic company as we have today.

We developed our manifold flow meters by adding a ‘memory’ function to ensure that the flow rates on underfloor heating systems are maintained after the commissioning is complete, corresponding to the requirements of DIN EN 1264-4. The memory function ensures that even if the loop is shut down for maintenance purposes, it can be opened out to the precise flow rate that it was previously set to. Contact us for a guide!

After listening to your valuable feedback we came up with the ‘Spares and Repairs’ kit! This kit contains all of the common spare parts you need in one convenient location. One lost or missing part can have huge implications on a construction site, but with this valuable kit in your armoury, there will be no more waiting for the parts to arrive!

In May this year, we went on a team afternoon out to Go Ape to clear our heads after launching our goals for the financial year. We had a great time swinging and zipping through the trees – an excellent bonding activity for the team!

What’s in the pipeline for 2019?
