The underfloor heating was incorporated above the existing pre-cast concrete slab, within the new 65mm sand and cement screed layer over 25mm thermal insulation to each floor, with the AmbiClip system selected as the best option for ease of installation and consistent pipework layout. The pipework was clipped into the ‘cliprails’, which were self-adhered to the top of the insulation layer, with the floor screed laid over the top of this after pressure testing and sign-off. The Ambiente PRT/E thermostat was selected for controlling the underfloor heating systems in each apartment, comprising 7 day programmable time and temperature settings across 4 time cycles, holiday mode, frost mode and many other user friendly and energy efficient functions.
