This property is a refurbished barn, fitted out to the highest standard, providing Art workshops, a conferencing room, and two luxury apartments in a breath-taking location. Ambiente was proud to be involved in this project – we recommended our AmbiStructural Underfloor Heating System, consisting of 17mm UFH pipework clipped to a steel reinforcing mesh, then a fibrous concrete poured over. Floor finishes in most areas was polished concrete, which is ideal for use with underfloor heating due to its low thermal resistance. Ambiente supplied the control system for this project as well, offering full flexibility within the various areas of the building. Underfloor heating was the chosen heating method on this project due to three main factors: Heating efficiency, freedom of interior design and flexibility of control.
