AmbiClip (Biscuit Screed) Underfloor Heating System Overview
- Heat Output Up to 100 W/m2
- Designed for new-build or refurbishment projects
- Output of traditional screed system from joisted/battened floors
Biscuit screed underfloor heating systems provide an economical means of incorporating UFH into a property, while also offering excellent overall heat output. This system can be used on ground or upper floors, and involves laying a thin layer of screed over UFH pipework clipped to insulation, between battens.
It is only possible to get away with such a thin screed layer (as little as 25 mm) as it is not forming a structural slab – just used to fill in between the battens/joists. The only disadvantage of this system is that it does introduce a ‘wet’ trade in the screed, which can especially be challenging on upper floors.
