Linton Park School

The Architects involved were looking for a heating system that did not encroach on the teaching space as well as achieving maximum comfort, and wanted to maintain environmental standards at all costs. Underfloor heating was the only solution.

The whole school was heated through the floor by our AmbiTak system, consisting of pipework stapled to the insulation layer, prior to screeding.

The result was a heating system that creates a perfectly even, comfortable temperature, as well as being very efficient for the school to run.

The system is controlled via Ambiente tamper-proof thermostats, which are perfect for public buildings like schools – if the temperature is continually changed by the building users, the efficiency of the system will be threatened, but the tamper-proof function prevents this.
