PROJECT VALUE £39 million

Library Street, Southwark

Construction was carried out by Durkan for L&Q Housing Association and the development is part of the £1.5 billion regeneration of Elephant and Castle area in Southwark. All the new homes are built to level four of the code for sustainable homes with many energy saving features built into the construction process including the underfloor heating system.
Ambiente supplied 30mm, foiled and grooved floating floor system which was overlaid with an 18mm tongue and groove chipboard to accept a range of floor finishes. Each unit has individual zone/room temperature control and also benefits from having a central time clock to optimise energy efficiency.
A spokesperson for the Southwark Council’s regeneration team, Richard Thomas said “Southwark takes great pride in delivering worldclass urban design that works for local people. We’ve put a huge amount of time and effort into this programme and the results, so far, fully justify our commitment.”
All supplies were timed to fit into a strict construction schedule with all components delivered direct from our warehouse.
