Funded in part by the London Mayor’s regeneration fund, this project along with others in nearby Morning Lane are helping to turn this part of Hackney into London’s newest fashion hub. Fashion brands Burberry, Aquascutum and Pringles of Scotland have already announced their intention to open retail units in the development.
The accommodation part of the project involved refurbishing two former Burberry warehouse buildings into 86 ‘loft style’ apartments covering a total floor area of 6,965m2.
Our AmbiLowboard (EPS) system is installed in both blocks from the first to the fifth floors. The system was selected because of its low floor build-up (less than 22mm) which could be easily accommodated within existing ceiling heights.
A community boiler provides the warm water for the system which is distributed to each apartment using heat interface units (HIU). This allows the manifolds to operate without pumpsets. Flow and return rates for the system are around 55/47OC.
All supplies were timed to fit into a strict construction schedule with all components delivered direct from our warehouse.
